PBF was founded in 2007 on the values of INTEGRITY, RESPECT, REPUTATION, COMMUNICATION and OWNERSHIP. Eleven years later we are still very passionate about the same values.


While we have have consistently picked up very significant industry awards. Our mission has not changed it is simply to provide an excellent finish and best in class service to our discerning home owners and builders.


Today our management team has over 120 years of collective experience, including specialists from each of our four trades – painting, house washing, gib fixing and gib stopping.

Our Team


Grant is responsible for the financial management and overall strategic direction of the business.

Hans van Luit, General Manager

Hans is responsible for strategic leadership and implementation across the business. Hans has a natural passion for people and a background in managing large teams both here in New Zealand and internationally.


With a solid background in operations and specific expertise in managing process and service delivery Hans has enabled continual improvement of key objectives such as on time delivery, customer satisfaction and referral rates. When Hans is not at work he can be found restoring antique furniture, tinkering with classic cars or playing with his granddaughter.

Cherie Jones, Office Manager

Cherie runs our North Shore office and looks after the accounts and invoicing. With extensive experience in office management for contracting businesses, Cherie is an organisational extraordinaire.

Dave George, Project Manager

Dave is our senior project manager who’s been in the Auckland plasterboard field for more than two decades. Calm and collected under pressure, Dave has a knack for working with his team to solve the client’s problems. Outside of work he enjoys hunting kingfish and spending time on his family farm in the Coromandel.
